Just to clarify for all of you guys (fellow police officer here)

It's not true. There's no 30 day speeding ticket frenzy or what not. eve when the state police are doing it or stating it in the media, its bullshit. its a public media stunt with the "threat" in mind to get you to slow down.

however, I can tell you that close to the end of the months police depts with quota's do enforce tickets like crazy. I know my dept does not have a quota. You give a ticket at your descretion. however, those who get pulled over in towns that have quota's and its towards the end of the month, you'd better have a great excuse for the officer, or as John stated "big cleavage" lol to get out of that ticket.

i know how you feel stangman. i got a chrome mustang plate on my front bumper but i hardly get pulled over anymore. i used to alot but after the cops got used to my car and seen all the PBA cards i have in the glove box they dont even bother anymore. i have so many friends that are cops in all different cities its great. especially Hoboken and Jersey City....lol i can basically get away with murder in those 2 towns...lol any car shows coming up that you are going to ?

well sounds like the cops in those towns have alot of integrity. good thing we pay them $100,000 a year to give us tickets for bs so they can let their friends "get away with murder" And we wonder why our country is in the toilet

Cops do whatever the hell they want. They creep around just to make everyone nervous, speed, go thru red lights, etc. They're the ones that are gonna kill people and cause accidents. Why are these laws put in place if even the enforcement can't abide by them??? Ridiculousness

meanwhile, i race around all the time doin 140 on the thruway and they cant seem to ever catch me speeding. too busy giving tickets for cell phones and no front plate...and all the ricer tickets. they seem to get off on harassing anyone with a visually modified vehicle.

yea it depends on the town too. i have no front plate and the only time the cops mention that to me is if they stop me for something else. like the town i live in now they are strict. Lyndhurst cops look for every little thing to stop you for. when i used to live in jersey city and they would run my plates at a light i was guaranteed to get stopped for something. now that im a lyndhurst resident i havent been stopped in 3 years.

i used to get stopped for the no front plate. and apparently thats probable cause for a sobriety test and a full search of my car.

used to happen to me every night. id think theyd get tired of doing it and never finding anything.

my stang has limo tint all around and i never get stopped for that. and yes once they stop u for a little thing like no front plate they can search u. they searched me before but they were surprised to find nothing.....lol i told the cop straight out i was like look im not a drug dealer i work for PSE&G thats why my car is hooked up this way. but back then i was only like 21...lol

sure they always have probable cause. you could "swerve" "drive suspiciously" "glance at them the wrong way"

now on the other hand, we all need cops and we appreciate what they do. but at times they are a total buzzkill.

It true if you dont give them a reason to pull you over they wont to a extent . In my case I cant take my car out wihtout running into at least 2 cops within 10 minutes. One time I just fired the car up an went in house to answer the phone the same cop went up and down my street a bunch of time til i got in it and left my home ( I was sure to wear my seatbelt as I always do ) I mostyl get pulled over cuase they question my collector inspection sticker . they say I bought it all the time lol... That is true to a extent it cost 25 dollars to file the paper work and 10 dollars every time you have to renew it but its not like you can get it at a service staion you can only get it from a State inspection center. One time this cop pulled me over trying to bust my balls ( he was a rookie that I went to school with and he was a dork then too) and started trying to pull some crap about my inspection stiker was a fake . So I told the cop what it was and he told me to shut the F up so I got on my phone called the police staion and has the on duty supervisor come down and expained it all to him and how the officer cursed at me for no reason . The suporvisor had him give me a apology and later I found our it wanst the first time he did somethig like that and he was suspended for like 2 months .

Since then I havent been hassled when I drive my car

a small heads up.sussex county. vernon,hardyston, franklin got money from the state to run 24 -7 speed stops till the 31 of this month, july.
